portable GPS car MP3 player including: Is it good?
I'm getting (actually, just bought, but I'm taking back) a portable GPS navigator for my car. just bought the Garmin Nuvi 205W after looking through several tests. I do not need anything too fancy, but now I realize I have no instructions to speak, that I need. Anyway, with MP3 playback capability is a necessity for me, but now I'm thinking about going back another time since I'm getting a different browser. I am in the direction of TomTom GO 630 at this time and apparently has MP3 capability. Just wanted to know when it comes MP3 of the navigation system, how it sounds when it passes through the car speakers? And it's hard to leave? Can the sound exactly as player CD in your car?
I will not recommend a particular brand for you, because this is ultimately your choice. I had a GPS for some time: Garmin, Tom Tom, Mio, and some others, but more recently my GPS Newelectronx beautiful. I learned what (for me) are the most important features and could help you, so I'll share. 1. Signal acquisition. This is subjective, but the unit must have a signal relatively quickly, and then maintain it. Nothing like being one hundred and fifty miles from home in the boonies, punches in the direction of your next appointment and then realize that your unit has been trying for five minutes to obtain a satellite signal. My Newelectronx GPS has a strong GPS receiver to acquire many of the satellites even in some tunnels, so be sure you select a device with a strong receiver. 2. The map. I bought a relatively high-end GPS (as mentioned) with a great discount, and the maps are from 2010. If you live in an area where there has been an incredible amount of development, then you will need frequent map updates. So be sure to select a GPS updates Free maps. As far as I know yet charges Garmin map updates and can not be sure if you buy off the shelf maps in 2010 has fresh it. Tom Tom, may or may not remain the burden of map updates for their new GPS models. I do not know for sure, but check it before you buy. Newelectronx has map updates. 3. The legibility of text on the screen. Screen size is also important, but even with a 4 "screen (very small), if the text is too small you'll be distracted by trying to read text on the screen. My newelectronx GPS has a 5 inch touch screen color. I love it. 4. Glare. I'm not sure if there is no glare screens, but a trip in the morning on a cloudless day, could be a nightmare if you are based solely on GPS. Note that not only reflect direct sunlight causing glare, but also other objects such as cars and approval of the articles in their own car. I still do not have a bad glare with my 5-inch screen. 5. Audio. Most GPS units now give audio instructions ("Turn 600 meters left, please ") so that you do not have to be looking at the screen while attending to traffic. Make sure you can adjust the volume yours. It is also nice if you can select your own voice – one of my colleagues had a female voice with a British accent that I liked. I can use more than 20 different voices to mine, as the voice of a British accent. Each gives turn by turn directions. Some also provide very detailed information, such as announcing the name of the high street and road trips. It's like having someone in the car spoon feeding instructions. I can also connect my GPS to the car speakers if you do not want to use the internal speaker of the GPS. I can connect in many ways: through the FM stereo, Bluetooth or by cable. I like to use it with Bluetooth. 6. Power. My unit has an internal battery that is recharged "every time it is plugged in. It says the battery lasts a whopping 10 hours. Do not test that theory yet, so make sure that your GPS will keep a charge long. You never know when you need to remove it and take it out of his vehicle. 7. Cost – this time of year again you have determined the unit you buy, watch the sales – you should be able to find your unit at a good price the closer to Christmas and after Christmas. Only mine cost me an unprecedented $ 105 with free shipping to my door. Therefore, you must be able to find some deals out there. There are other elements as well. For example, you should be able to choose routes based on different considerations – for example, in my unit that can clog the interstates, so that the unit is forced to find a route roads (useful during peak hours when the interstate will be reduced to the parking stretched). You can also block roads toll, which will be useful in the northeast. Some GPS units do double duty as an MP3 player or photo gallery (or both), but these are the characteristics that my drive can do it perfectly – in fact a multimedia GPS, which means I can listen to music and get GPS turn by step instructions at a time. Or if you want I can see my pictures float across the screen while the directions are announced by the speaker or speakers GPS in my car. It also has the ability to play full movies, but I can not do that while driving. http://www.newelectronx.com/help.php?category_id=11
