Can cell phone GPS is used to determine its location without subscribing to something?
In a phone like the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 (AT & T), which has GPS, I understand that if you want to use it for turn by turn directions and so on, add a service like AT & T Navigator. But if only wanted to know, for example, where were you, where different addresses are, what they need to buy and software / services, or in work outside the box? Thanks!
In some phones (such as that run on Windows CE, etc.) can download the application and data to the machine but can not for all GPS phones.
