I am looking for a cheap GPS navigation system / which is transportable, take it from car to car. I am thinking of buying one with my high school graduation money. I honestly do not know what brand is the best the cheapest /. I want to have turn by turn voice and map. Help me please.
Have you looked www.geeks.com? They have several different GPS units available at bargain prices. I was a unit of Magellan and was not happy. Turned you had to purchase additional software at about $ 150 for mapping to street level. Then I took one for under $ 200 which includes street-level maps, turn by turn voice and a nice color screen. I bought to install on my reverse tricycle to help navigate when out on the roads in the country. My dad also liked it so much we bought another to put in your car. The unit we received was very similar to this in Geeks for $ 175: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PNS-350&cat=GPS It has a different brand name, but everything looks identical to ours. Which has detailed instructions were needed, but it was so difficult to understand. TGP
