Garman Portable Gps

What experience have you had with any portable GPS on sale? Their recommendation for you?

I am referring to "Garman" Tom Tom, etc. Can you suggest where to get a better deal? What optional equiptment, if any, do you find useful. Most seem to come loaded with U.S. maps and Canada. If I wanted to add Mexico, for example, would have forfit maps of Canada to do it?

I have a Garmin and it worked well for me. You can upgrade to the PC. Mine has worked in "industrial" areas around radio towers and RF fields other brands have simply refused to work.
